We only take the Architects Donation in person. We can help you apply for the childcare, eldercare, or home renovation grants. We can measure up your garden and with our assured contract we can guarantee your permitted development rights. Our igloos are less costly and even though it is counter intuitive; our builds are very strong. Our Architect/QS Tom will help you decide which of our many igloos fits right; and where the windows should go. He will generate an estimate for the full amount of work; and we will get the contract sorted.

First we ask for an Architects Donation; this will be 20% of the offsite build cost. This will go towards the BROTHER igloo project; building emergency homeless shelters. You will also get a plan and an elevation; and building contract that assures we will take the hit for any planning policy errors. Then when you are ready; we will ask for half of the rest; and once you are happy with the build we will ask for the other half.

All customers paying the Architects Donation Deposit will be instructed which figure to donate here. All people seeking membership to the CIC will also be contributing here; and if you just want to support us you can do it here too; there is no requirement for BROTHER Igloo benefactors to donate financially; the members of the CIC decide which applications are best based on many factors.

That’s why we created the BROTHER Igloo — a simple, local model where any household can offer shelter to someone in their community. It’s personal. It’s direct. And any donation you make strengthens your own application to host one in your garden. We can do this inexpensively because of our material SUPER SIP; order a sample if you don't believe it works.

3. The Legacy
We’ve done this before. For over 20 years, the Free Hardware Project ran as a decentralised aid network, sheltering refugees in desert regions. Now, we’re applying that knowledge here in the UK — not as a charity, but as a Community Interest Company: centralised, accountable, and community-powered.

4. The New Model: Get One, Give One
When you support us, you don’t just buy shelter — you fund one for someone else too. That’s our Get One, Give One promise. And if you're chosen as a benefactor, you'll also become a member of our CIC:
– Your name listed here and on Companies House
– Full voting rights
– A chair on the board

5. The Invitation
We carefully select members based on their social standing and ability to give — not just financially, but personally. If you’re someone who others turn to for help, we want you with us.

If you are in the top 10% of donors, or the majority of members agree you will be invited to be a member of the CIC; getting a chair on the board, full voting rights and your name listed here and on companies house.
